Safety Specs
 (United States)

I had a thread on the old board right before it changed (BTW, the new one is nice) asking what safety changes have been made since i raced last in June and if I need to change anything on the car.  If anyone replied, I didn't see it.  I just want to make sure that I get to race!

Thanks,

Jeff

You need the right side drivers saftey net. That should be the only change.

Re: Safety Specs

Does anyone have any pictures, specs, or links to sites where I can get this right side net?  I vaguely remember a discussion about it.  It seems like there was one that a Viper performance company sold that worked well?

What is the door bar issue?  Is it an additional passenger bar?

Re: Safety Specs

I bought mine through IO Port.. the link is on the home page.. when the rule changed, there was a run on them and most people where out.. but I imagine they have some now.. its easy to put in.. I went through the center dash A/C vents and to the right of the plastic blower (or whatever that hunk of plastic is) and attached a U bolt to the firewall and hooked it to that..  If you want at worst case, bring it with you to the race and we can help install that in 15 min.. I'm a pro now..

The door bar is SCCA rule, but I thought if it was a SCCA rule, then its a NASA rule?  am I wrong.. anyone..Bueller.
