Spec 7 Wheels for SCCA
 (Canada)

I am a new spec 7 racer (In the Colorado region) looking for some recommendations on wheels.  I have 13 lb steel wheels on the car now, and am looking for advice on what the best wheel is for Spec7. It would be nice if they weren't over $200 a wheel, but all advice is welcome.

Thanks!

Spec7 newbie

Thanks Lance!  Panasports seem fairly hard to find up here... I will check into BBS but they will probably be half what I paid for the car

Panasports are what most of us run, but since they have doubled it price in 5 years, that is your call. Also Diamond steel wheels are a option too.  They are pretty cheap. I would just google and find link.  Panasports can be ordered still.  We use to have a local source but they are out of business.

How much do the Panasports weigh? I will check out the Diamond wheels website to see how much those weigh.  Thanks!

I am not seeing any spec7 legal wheels on that site, for our region they have to be 13"x7" with a 4" backspacing.  Am I just not seeing them, or did you custom order them from these guys?

Don't we use wheels with 4 x 110 bolt pattern? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Spec 7 Wheels for SCCA

Thanks, Ethan. The Panasports look cool and I like Spruell. They seemed the most helpful of the folks I called when I needed a replacement wheel. I have a set of the Diamond racing wheels as well and I think they probably work just as well for a hacker like me. At $88.50 each (13 x 7, 4 x 110, pick your own backspacing)  the price is right if I ding one (the single Panasport cost me $265.00!) Here is the link to Diamond:
