hope you've entered, just heard Group2 (where STL runs) is wait-listed now.

SM filled up in about an hour

Other groups also full or almost full... 543 registered as of 5:30, max is 595

Here is my version of the new math:

Wrecked Car+Insane Work Schedule=No Racing

Have fun on what has to be the best racing circuit in the USA.

See you guys (much) later this year, I hope!

Are you guys going to try and coordinate a spot to park together?  Want a piston engine car to point and laugh at?  :-)

With 595 entrants it's not a park where you want weekend from what I have been seeing. Per the supps...

- The Chief Paddock Marshal has full authority on load-in and parking spots. Teams desiring to paddock together are encouraged to stage together for load-in.

Re: COTA registration link

I'm planning on coming up on Thurs so we can corrdinate if need be.  Really just need room for the car + few extra sf and can dump the trailer, etc elsewhere.  Can also bring my ez-up and whatnot if desired.  Really just want to be near some people that sorta kinda know what's going on and can answer my stupid newbie questions... heh :-)

Re: COTA registration link

Thanks, Travis, for asking.

I'm OK on parts, I think. I have an extra hood, valance, and fenders.

I kinda had to rob the 07 to get the 08 ready for last weekend. I tried doing the body work on the 07, but It's beyond me and I need to get some help from a frame shop. The 08 suspension is pretty worn and needs a lot to run decent times. I ran 2:04sat MSRH CCW last weekend and the motor felt pretty strong when the rusty fuel tank provided enough gas to keep it going. Tony ran 1:54s and Nyle ran 2:01, so the track and weather were good, but I wasn't. I was almost lapped by a B-spec.

Bottom line is I wouldn't race the 08 at COTA even if there was a place for me as it would be even more embarrassing than my usual outings. The 07 would have been OK, but it's months away from being ready.

I'll be at COTA working tech and Rosa Lee will be there as well in registration. I look forward to seeing you all there and helping out if I can. The whole trip will be worthwhile if I can watch 85 cars take the green at once!

All the best

Randy
